What a weekend for baby! Grandma came up for a visit and Genny just had to show off for her - we'll get to that further below. Friday night, we had Auntie Nicole over for dinner before she went to the Sheep to see Mike Plume play. We're looking forward to hooking up with her again soon to see a Lynx baseball game, baby's first sports experience!
Does this little girl look tired to you? She should, because she's just rolled over for the first time this weekend and has been getting a little better at it each time. She put on quite a show of physical exertion, accompanied with mighty hollars. Now she just has to figure out what to do with that arm that gets pinned underneather her.
This picture is one of Daddy's favourites. This is the sunshine smile we get in the mornings when baby's had a good sleep, is changed, and is in one of her favourite outfits (note the giraffe in her front pocket).
And after noticing how well Genny is holding her head now, we decided it's time to unleash the Jolly Jumper! Baby was plenty pleased with this contraption. She hasn't got the jumping part, but she loves to be upright and looking around. Lying down just isn't for her.
Finally, another one of Daddy's favourites - the back of the head shot. Look at those cute little ears! If she was a chocolate bunny, those ears would be the first to be nibbled off!
Oh, and Genny killed her first mosquito on Monday night. The black flies and skeeters are pretty vicious out here right now. We are using netting to cover her carrier but we had it off when visiting some friends and a mosquito landed on the side of her head. Before we could get it, she raised a quick little fist and smushed it. It was just a reflex move, and probably a lucky one, but we were impressed with the mosquito killing technology babies are programmed with, nonetheless.
