A mostly photo journal of Miss Genevieve Elizabeth

It has been a lovely relaxing day of bright sunlight reflecting and blinding off the piles and piles and piles of snow outside. Ted and Val went into Wakefield today and Genevieve and I had a great nap. Ted came back to find Genevieve on my chest displaying what we call "the money mouth. It's when the baby is asleep so deeply that her mouth hangs open. It also means that you can move her and lay her down just about anywhere and she won't wake up.
Then later today, I caught a big yawn on camera while Ted was trying to make her smile by ticking her chin. You can see her milk tongue that Ted says Genevieve probably wants shaved.
She had a few fussy episodes that seemed to be gas related. Ted has come to accept the reality that his lack of mammary glands puts him at a distinct disadvantage for calming her. However, he still tries his best by rubbing her back(for the gas related bouts) and is sometimes victorious with her big belch and his proud, "That's my girl!"
Val has been a big help, washing dishes, cooking meals, and calming Genevieve by dancing with her when we need a break.
It's going to be a cold night. Minus 33 with the wind chill! Bundle up!
