A mostly photo journal of Miss Genevieve Elizabeth

A busy day full of visitors for Geneviève. We had both expected visitors and those who surprised us! While waiting for Lindsay's family to arrive, we got a call from our friends, Bob and Louise, asking if they could drop in to see the baby. They came and brought a cherry crunch cheesecake! Yum!
They left and we were expecting the family any minute when our midwife, JoAnne, showed up for our second at-home checkup! Oops! We were expecting her tomorrow! Anyway, the appointment started when, who should pull in, Lindsay's family? Nope. Verna, my carpool buddy. She was headed on her way back home after a busy conference and came to see Geneviève. She gave us a great surprise, too: Susan Aglukark's autograph to us on a CD of hers that I had leant to Verna. Verna organized a concert in Gatineau featuring Susan, fundraising for Native women's shelters. As the concert took place shortly after Geneviève's birth, we couldn't go. Nevertheless, it was so kind of Verna to get Susan's autograph!
JoAnne finished the appointment just as Lindsay's folks pulled into the driveway. Two pics of the gathering are below. I'll also try to get some picture's from Geneviève's Grandpa's camera tomorrow.

A proud Grandpa holding his first grandchild.
Now, I ask you. Are these girls not related? Look at the smiles of Lindsay and Auntie Kate.
We really lucked out at dinner time. Geneviève slept from the time we left the house, throughout a relaxing and enjoyable dinner at a restaurant, until we took her out of her car seat when we got home. We ended the day, all of us pretty tired. It should be another fun day with the clan tomorrow, all centred around this little baby.
